The First Trip to the Island
NuLu went island mode.
On Saturday, August 8, 2026, Lou Lou on Market became Louisville's island for the day. Five bands filled the street with live music from noon until 9:30 PM while guests moved between the stage, the patio, tropical food, cold drinks, and festival activities.
The inaugural festival was free, open to all ages, and created in partnership with the Derby Parrothead Club. It felt like a trip without leaving E Market St, which was exactly the point.

Island Rock Fest was created in partnership with the Derby Parrot Head Club and supported the Alzheimer's Association of Greater Kentucky & Southern Indiana through raffles and auction items.
Thank you to the musicians, partners, volunteers, donors, and everyone who showed up to help turn a new Louisville festival into something worth repeating.
