Etoufee
I'm originally from Louisiana and this dish reminds me of home. Slightly different than my family's homemade etoufee, but it is my absolute go-to and first recommendation for anyone searching for a taste of the bayou. The rich creamy flavor and generous amount of crawfish satisfies my craving every time. Additionally, this dish always arrives to my table picturesque.
Crab Cake
Lou Lou on Market is a true gem! I had the pleasure of trying the Crab Cakes and Shrimp & Grits, and both dishes were absolutely divine. The flavors were rich, comforting, and reminiscent of my grandmother's Low Country cooking authentic, well-seasoned, and made with care. The crab cakes were perfectly crisp on the outside with tender, flavorful crab inside, and the Shrimp & Grits had the perfect balance of creamy, savory goodness. If you're looking for a place that serves incredible Southern-inspired cuisine, I highly recommend Lou Lou on Market. I'll definitely be back!
Bourbon Salmon
Salmon was cooked perfectly and the bourbon sauce was the perfect pairing. Originally got this dish for the grits, which I was not disappointed in at all! Great combo.

Gumbo
It can be so difficult to find good Cajun places when you are from the south and know the real deal! But this place hits the spot every time. So flavorful and just the right amount of spice. Will definitely be back the next time I get a hankering.
Shrimp and Grits
I've had shrimp and grits in many restaurants when visiting NOLA and I can tell you LouLou on Market has them beat! By far the prettiest and best tasting shrimp and grits I've ever had!
Louisiana Redfish
i just wantef to start this review with a caveat, i travel all over the country and eat out and enjoy fine dining, a great deal. Oh my gosh, this was the perfect meal! The blackened fish, which can sometimes be oily, was heavenly. The polenta and sauce were incredibly flavorful, and the portion size was just right. The dish was topped off with some of the best fried okra I've ever had---delicious and sublimely prepared. I started the meal with the smoked salmon appetizer, which resembled a flatbread pizza topped with cheese and to-die-for smoked salmon. I concluded my meal with the caramel-topped bread pudding. I couldn't come close to finishing it, but every bite was decadent and glorious.
Jambalaya
OMG! This hit the spot. I was treated this day to lunch by a co-worker. I'm blessed to have tasted this dish. Yes, from this day forward the takeout on payday will be Lu Lu on Market. See you soon. lol
Cajun Sampler
Lou Lou on market is our go to restaurant when we have guests visiting us in Louisville. In the heart of Nulu it is consistently a spectacular experience with amazing food. Be sure to visit the speakeasy downstairs for a bourbon neat or exceptional whiskey sour. A++
